    On a side note, one duckling did hatch under a broody chicken a week ago, and came out with a bruised little beak ! Puffy and bruised. Ever happen to anyone before ? Must have had a hard time getting through the shell .

    Wow those are all nice looking ducklings !! I just. Sopped turning my 14 in the bator today ....day 25 !! I've always used a broody chicken so I'm a bit nervous about this bunch , but hopefully they will all be as darling as the babies on here !!

    OK..I have 40 Ancona Duck Eggs in my INCUBATOR!! WHAT am I thinking?!!! I usually hatch under a broody chicken....and some just hatched naturallu this way...and Im still waiting on these babies!! Wow I will have SO many Anconas..and they are so hard to sell ...just too cute to give up! Wish...

    My Anconas are under a Broody Chicken and one just hatched! 3rd time hatching ducklings under a chicken. What a feeling...they are FREE from their shell finally! I can never believe how those big feet and legs fit in that shell!! I think I will have to sell some becasue I have too many...

    Thanks for the welcome everyone! On a sad note, I found a dead chicken today. With the "stuffing" pulled out like a chew toy. very disheartening. Any advice on what to do with the chicken body? Show it to him and scold? I caught him after the fact...so not sure what the best way to handle it...
