It fit the symptoms of gapeworms, and she got remarkably better after we dewormed her, it really was the only thing that fit what was goin on with her. Now this head shaking thing just started, sort of like she's trying to dislodge something other then that she looks fine, just really really thin.
I have a pullet who I had posted about with gapeworm. She seems to be doing much better since I dewormed her with ivermectin three or four days ago, but shes walking around like a penguin and very thin. She's stopped yawning almost all together but now she's began to shake her head. Poop is...
She's looking alittle better since I dewormed her. I got her some meal worms, her favorite, and she perked up right away to get at them. She's looking pretty thin, but she looks like she's more awake and breathing better. She's a little fighter, no one in my family thought she would make it one...
Thank you, I was just able to figure it out from other posts on here. I got her some dewormer that we had already had, and I'd like to think she's looking slightly better. She's a darely little bird, and I wish I recconized it sooner. I hope she gets well soon.
I have a little game bird, she's about fifteen weeks old and she got sick a couple days ago. Her feathers are completely fluffed out, she's unsteady on her feet, sleeps all the time, very cold, and every minute or so she stretches out her neck and 'yawns'. Her poop is normal, shes eating, and...
At the top, the little butterscotch chick's name is Butters he's aproximently 11 1/2 weeks old now. He has two 'sisters' who look like him only they're white with some black. They're all mutts, but I know theyr bantam game birds of some sort. I don't know should be worried, or it's normal, but...
Right now I've got 3 little game birds with one big dominque pullet. She loves them, and they love her. In fact I was just telling my friend that I seperated the three babys from the dominque while I cleaned they're pen and it sounded like they were crying like they had been seperated from their...
I picked up these darling babies at the county fair, I had been staring at them all week (it didn't help their cage was right near Meep's, my bird!). Once I got them home I realized I completely forgot the breed(s). All I remember were they're bantams and they're supose to be 3 1/2 weeks old but...
We all definitely learned our lesson the hard way. Thank you for the tip, and I pray it doesn't come to that with another bird, especially like Dante, he was something really special.
My name is Rachael, and not to long ago I had one very beautiful rooster named Dante. My mom had sprayed for wasps and he ate some of the dead wasps and was poisoned. He got sick and his legs began to lock, a few days later he was paralized from what i could tell the waist down. Later that...
