I normally have 3-4 compost piles on the go.I make sure they get alot of sun and if they start to dry out i give them a good soaking. Here is a little list of stuff you can use. (not sure where i grabbed this from but has been sitting in a folder on the computer.

With the crazy heat everyone is having i try to pick mine earlier. Just be happy you are actually still getting cuckes alot of people are having horrible times withe gardens this year. Chickens could always eat them, or you could give them to the inlaws.

It finally rained today! So i did a little dance in my garden. I also collected up the last of the snap peas, a few orange million tomatoes and a ton of onions. Tonight i'll be replanting in a few of my beds for fall and clearing out one of the beet beds.
