As the amount of birds we have went from 9 to28 and climbing I needed large feeders. I did not want to spend a fortune so I cam up with this. Walmart Bucket $2.57 and a Walmart oil change pan $2.99. I found that rather large holes needed to be cut in order for mash feed not to cake up. Screwed the pan on the bucket and done.

Wow! This is a great idea. The feeders we were gonna go out and buy are $20. I think we will be using this idea instead, we have tons of 5 gallon buckets floating around.

I've done something similar. Works great just have to keep an eye on the holes so they don't gum up.

look good, you can also get the buckets for free in a lot of bakery's and that would bring the cost down

Oh yeah i forgot to mention that the buckets i use for mine come from the local groceries bakery section.
