I have 't been on in a few days and it took a while to catch up.
bbsnooks, you have been busy! Wish I was there to be helping you. I haven't done any more but the 5 I did at the clinic are fine and almost healed.
My hens are just starting to lay so, I will fire up the incubator next week. I...
What a great day we had yesterday! Poco and Kas, Thanks so much for putting on this clinic.
The five birds I did are doing great this morning and I am looking forward to doing some more on my own. I do know that I will miss not having you there to pull me out when I am having trouble.

I started with the same idea of finding a good cross but have found that just Cornish is hard to beat. I crossed with Jersey Giants, and a few more but finally got rid of everything except the Cornish. They don't lay that well and take a while to mature but for meat, IMO they can't be beat.
I am past ready and was going to go Jan 1st but the bankruptcy put a kink in things to go early. I had an appointment to sign the papers on Nov 30 and AA filed on Nov 29. It is all going to work out but just have to wait a while. I have plenty to keep me busy.
Well, I won't be able to go to poops this year. I am going to miss seeing you all.
The union is having a meeting with everyone to explain the contract we have to vote on next week. I will be glad when everything gets settled so I can retire. lol
This and the issues that the com poultry have with the legs and heart could go up the food chain. Who really knows? That is why I started raising my own meat birds.
