Review by 'sunshine ducky' on item 'New Hampshire'

I have a New Hampshire Red hen and she is an absolute joy to have. She is super friendly and doesn't mind at all being held. She follows me around the yard and even jumps on my shoulder sometimes! She lays her eggs every other day and is quiet most of the times. After she does lay her egg...

    Does Efowl still exist?

Hi everyone, I used to buy chicks from a hatchery called Efowl. I had good experiences with them in the past but I'm surprised to see some Bycers have had difficulties with them in more relatively recent years (2014-2016). I always used to get spring chick orders from them in the late...

    Are Faverolles good layers?

Hi everyone, I recently picked up some salmon colored faverolle from my local feed store. I never raised this breed before and I was wondering how good their egg production is. I quickly researched and saw it ranges from 180-240 eggs a year. How was everyone's experience of owning faverolle? Is...

    how many hens can fit?

@Orpington-Lover , I've kept two hens only in the past when I started keeping chickens. I got away with it because I had an LGD-dog (he's still with me!) protecting them from predators. If you do end up getting two standard hens make sure you have a great way to protect them. Maybe consider an...
