    i am new at this too got 2 hens broody on nest 1 with 4 eggs and 1 with 9.they will not eat or leave the nest.i offer food and water they eat very little.i am worried they are going to get sick.

    good for u.i have 13 pullets that are going on 4mos .i am listening out for the chicken song and behaviors.i put small wooden eggs in nest i saw my leghorn checking it out and also jumped in the nest.so i do not think it will be much longer before i get eggs.good luck

    Chickens odd behaviour

    i think they will be fine. they just need some time to get there pecking order straight.and to accept the new ones.it is a little adjustment for them.i had the same problem and within a few weeks they were fine.
