I have several in my brooder. BTW, BTB, grey, white and black. They are 2-3 weeks old, and if I went purely of of comb size, I think I have 10 pullets and 3 cockerels.
I traded two chicks for two silkies. One is a beautiful black pullet and the other is Oddball. She is the most unique chicken I have ever seen. Supposedly 4-6 months old. Pink skin, slate/black legs, 4 toes, funky comb, short and stubby body, really long neck and almost bare backside. Any clue...
I have a red brown ameraucana roo and two of my hens are cuckoo marans and golden cuckoo marans. I hatched out some eggs a few months back and three of them were black with yellow spots on their heads. They are feathering out barred. When they hatched they looked like pictures I have seen of...

I have a digital thermometer/hygrometer ( it has indoor and outdoor temps) I also put in the...
luluann.........I saved up for a while to get mine. I too debated about making one. I am so excited about my first hatch. I am anxious to get all the kinks worked out!
I have a Farm Innovators 4200 incubator and plugged it in last night to get the kinks out and to get it up to temp.
I have a digital thermometer/hygrometer ( it has indoor and outdoor temps) I also put in the center to verify temp and humidity. I noticed that the probe thermometer and the temp...
I also have the Incredible Egg Scale and was disappointed that there wasn't any paperwork that came with it. I saw the screw and have no clue what it does, if anything. If it is just something decorative, I wish there was something that with it stating so.
MerryRobin,
All of my chickies are doing ok. They have at all times during the day and when I can get out there, I hose the ground off for them so they have cool ground under them. There are some breeds that are known to be better suited to handle the heat. You can do a Google search for heat...
