White crossed with tibetian will get tuxes,not sure about silver i bought my roo,i have some chick due friday from him. fingers crossed i get silvers

i don,t usually keep many wild colors but she is my tamest hen. Always the first to the side of the cage,i have just hatched some chicks of hers so time will tell if they inherent her tameness.

have the opening of the brooder at the front, i,ve found if approached from the top them become skittish. some are just more tame than others, breed for tameness, select the calmest birds.

bark chips are good i used leaf mulch,they love to scratch through it looking for bugs, when i cleaned it out i use to just put i straight on the garden beds

i tryed it once,not easy to clean,gets covered in poo and it sticks in between fibres. on wire with pan underneath is the only way

after trying about 10 different cage setups, i found having them on wire is the easiest to clean, just have a tray underneath good for compost. a sand box is essential. start with birds all the same age, hatch your own, that way they will get along better as long as you have a good ratio of m-f.
