    Indian Runner Lethargic and Weak

Well, got him some medicine from the Vet 4 days ago. He is back to wandering around and cleaning himself at least, though he doesn't quack anymore, and he walks like a totally different duck. Without his head in the air, and it just resting on his chest constantly. He still not sociable or...

    Indian Runner Lethargic and Weak

We gave them worming stuff the other day, though it was near impossible to give hi the stuff directly, as the smaller duck ALWAYS knocks over bowls and the only thing Chuck really drinks from is his pool. I will phone around to find some anti fungal stuff from local stock feeds and pet stores!

Sniff Test, food smells like oatmeal. Outback Australia, MAYTE! Summer time, been rather mild too, considering the world ends in 8 days... My birthday Sunday though ;) He has been too erratic to make any diagnosis, (I wont pay the vet to tell me what I already know), though he spent all day...

    Indian Runner Lethargic and Weak

Well, he is moving a bit more, though now it seems that he has a sore throat or something. His "quacks" are more gutterel soundingm and he refuses to eat still. He ate about 5 meal worms yesterday and instantly spewed. He would only then chew them in water until they were disintegrated before...

    Indian Runner Lethargic and Weak

I actually like him under the house, and the next door neighbor watches out for him, as he used to be best friends with his cat. Its the first time he has been sick in his life, and he had only spent the last week or so in our backyard because Bear was being transistioned from Inside Duck, to...

    Indian Runner Lethargic and Weak

Thanks for your help. What is the sniff test? The feed is enjoyed by Bear (He is a year younger than Chucky) and also the two chickens we have. Chucky wasn't too interested in the lettuce we gave him, though he was VERY interested in some of the chips we treated the kids to dinner with...

He also goes into the chicken pen that has some old hay in it, and eats the chicken food. Though I did notice so red paint on his bill yesterday, maybe he ate something..? There is nothing with red paint on it in our yard (though he does go next door to eat their snails and stuff) Monitor him...

    Indian Runner Lethargic and Weak

We have alot of other birds that fly in and out of our yard eating their food, sitting in their bowl and drinking their water. It looked to me to be a case of FOWL CHOLERA, though Chucky came inside this morning and was eating bread. Maybe he hates the new type of feed we got? We are not...

Ducks that are the best pets (with poll)

Indian Runner. We have Chucky. Raised from a duckling. Beautiful creature, and amazingly fun to watch. Extremely friendly (except when cornered by strangers) So funny. Enjoys being petted everwhere except the lower belly or the tail, especially enjoys his Bill being petted. Bites me...

    Indian Runner Lethargic and Weak

Hi, I have an indian runner Duck (Chucky) a little over a year old. Just today he has seemed very lethargic and weak, even spewing up some worms we feed them on occasion as a treat. He has not eaten anything else, though he has drank a lot of water, moreso than usual. He does seem stooped...
