    Thanks for the ideas. I marked each egg so at least I will know that. Not sure about blocking them in since I am inconsistent on when I go down to check on them. Maybe later as my schedule gets more uniform. Thanks again.

    Hello from San Diego

    I'm new to this chicken raising thing and have been to the forum many times to get help. I finally joined. I currently have 7 chickens about 7 weeks old and am adding 7 more next week. That will round out the flock. Many fun times and much learning is ahead. Dave
