Hen with crooked head and bubbly watery eyes

Hi Everyone, I have a 5 mo old hen who was born with a crooked head. At about 1 mo old, she developed bubbly/watery eyes, but no other symptoms (and eyes are not swollen). I've tried everything to figure out what she has. I originally thought respiratory disease, so I treated with Tylan50...

Hi everyone, I would like to know whether Ideal Poultry's Shamo chickens are O-Shamo, Chu-Shamo, or Ko-Shamo. I called customer service and they didn't know what I was talking about - I asked whether there was anyone there who might know, but she said no. Does anyone know? Thank you!!

My Shamo is sick - watery gooey eyes and throwing up water

Hi Everyone, I am asking for help because my 1.5 month old female O-Shamo has been sick for weeks and I can't seem to figure out what it is let alone fix it. She has been isolated since symptoms started. The pictures don't show it well, but she has a glossy film over her eye (not her inner...

2 1-month old mallard ducks need re-homing in central PA

I hatched (eggs from Metzer farms) 4 mallards and am willing to keep them all, but would much prefer two. Their back right toe is clipped, as PA law requires. It's hard to tell which are male and female, but I think we have 2 males and 2 females, and would want 1 male and 1 female to be re-homed.

    Yellow sticky substance on egg?

In the past month, there were a few times where I found eggs covered with a yellow sticky substance (no odor). My hens ate an egg once and it was obvious because there were some shell pieces left in the nesting box. However, these past few times I haven't noticed any evidence of an eaten egg...

    O-Shamo Hatching Eggs

For the past couple of weeks I have searched everywhere for O-Shamo hatching eggs and have had no luck. I emailed a couple hatcheries but they either had no eggs available, or never got back to me. I am asking for a little help in finding a breeder to purchase eggs. Thank you!
