I did think about just two adult hens. I thought since I would be introducing more new ones to old ones that I would have less of a problem. My adult chicks are Silver laced Wyndots, not to aggressive. Thank you for your knowledge I really appreciate it. Also I loved the pix.
Hi everyone,
I have 10 baby chicks, that I need to interduce to my 2 four year olds. My babies are about 2 months old, fully featherd. When should I put them in with the adults? :/
Hi everyone,
I picked up 10 new baby chicks. Does anyone de worm there chicks? This is my second batch. I never de wormed the first batch so I was just curious. :D
Well... I think today will be the last day for my rooster. He took a turn for the worst :( he can hardly hold his head up. It's
been 9 days since the attack. I just hope it's not going to be much longer. Very sad day.
Poor thing. Chickens are so helpless.
My rooster is still hanging in there. It's really hard to see him like this. It's been a week now, and not much improvement. But he is alive!
Thank you for your response.

It looks like everyone has great ideas. I know its hard when you work full time. We all love our chickens as part of our family's, I think for a piece of mind the best thing to do is an extension cord with a heated bowl.
I did see that on my longhorn Emmett when she was alive, and it was from the rooster Marty. but my bahtam rooster is by himself, so that would not be it. but thank you just the same :)
Hi Everyone!
I'm so excited that I found you. I have been raising chickens since March 2008. I started off with eight, and now I am down too, two Silver laced hens, (Miss Byran, and Miss Abbott) one buff hen, (Shelly) and two roosters. One is a bantam, the other is a handsome Rhode Island red...
