10 new babby chicks

Hi everyone,

I picked up 10 new baby chicks. Does anyone de worm there chicks? This is my second batch. I never de wormed the first batch so I was just curious.

I have never de wormed chicks I have purchased.

I think that they injected medication mixed with worming medications in the egg shell at the factory.

No..They aren't like puppies...Some people never worm their chickens and they are just fine...Some people end up with wormy chickens and need to deworm them..dewormer could possibly be dangerous to small chicks. I'm not sure, but they don't need it. A few worms in a chicken is normal...It is when the worms build up and become too numerous that the birds health begins to derail...
So chicks do not need wormer, they haven't been alive long enough to build up a huge colony of worms...
