Baby Chicks Shaking Butt?

Hi everyone! I have three baby chicks, one 13 days old, two 10 days old.

I was curious about why if I scratch their booties on either side of their vents, two of them do a little wiggle or “poop dance” as I like to call it.

I wasn’t sure if that was just them being weird or maybe indication of these chicks potentially being male or female? It was quite cute, but super weird lol.

I've never heard of someone even scratching there on a chick, but if this is some new trick to sexing, I'd be interested in knowing.

It’s definitely a weird place to pet them but they’re just so cute I wanna give them scritches everywhere!!

I have a naked neck hen who loves being scratched on either side of her vent- it probably feels good on her hips and weird bald skin lol
