One of my Easter HAL Barnies has this I noticed today. I noticed the feathers missing and thought it might be getting bullied until I picked it up. It's almost like a ballon is under the skin. This "growth" is soft to the touch and you can see the loss of feathers on it. Any idea what it is...

Final hatching numbers for me...9 out of 27 set. :he 1 died shortly after hatching and one was malformed so I had to cull it. Ended with 4 blue barnies, 2 blrw, and 1 lavender Orpington

Ok, I'm done with my Easter hatch along so now I need some more eggs to hatch. I only got 6 to hatch out and I can have 6 but with my luck 5 or 6 of them are Roos. Does anyone in the SLC or Tooele area have some nice, cheap hatching eggs available, not barnyard mix?
