    Weatherproofing a coop floor

We are upgrading our chickens to a bigger coop ... the floor of the coop is untreated plywood (3/4 plywood) ... we live in Michigan so we are wondering what we can use to protect/seal the floor so that it doesn't rot over time. Throwing ALL the food on the coop floor ....

We have 2 pullets (21 weeks & 19 weeks old) and they have completely emptied the PVC automatic feeder that is inside the coop so that ALL of their food is on the floor of the coop. Why are they doing this ? And how do you stop them from doing this?

    Vitamin Supplements ??

So I saw on here that some of you are adding vitamin Supplements to your water. I am just wondering why? And, we have an automatic watering system (PVC pipe with chicken nipples) so how do you measure how much supplement you add to it? Any & all info is greatly appreciated ... Thanks :)
