    Thank alimarcle. These were shipped from Castle Delight Serama's. They traveled all way across US in 2 days. Laura has such beautiful serama. I new the risk, but had to chance it, because I wanted some of her serama so bad. I want these 2 to make it to hatch so I'll know it will be worth trying...

    Thanks for the response. The bad spot is on the "x" side, so I turned the "x" and "o" to the sides, so the bad spot won't be shifting so much when i tilt the egg. After loosing the others to scrambled air cells, I'm really worried for this one now.

  7. This is the back. I ran a hose with a squeeze bottle so I can add more water if needed for humidity. Notice the cute flip flop pull chain. I bought the lamp with intentions of putting it in my daughters room after I was done with first incubation. I'm not sure its going to make it there.

  8. I put some bushings in to help hold the fan in place. I also used the pill bottle method to allow for ventilation. I have two on bottom left and one on upper right.

  10. I place the viewing window on the side of the incubator and made it so that it can be opened and closed so I do not have to remove the lid on top. I was hoping might help keep from letting all the heat escape when turning the eggs. I also thought it might help the kids get a better view.

  11. I used a water heater thermostat. I have it on screws that I can adjust from the outside to move it closer or further away from the bulb. I can also adjust the temp from outside of the incubator. I also am using the water jars this time to help keep temp steady.

    Please help--something is wrong and I don't know what to do...

    It looks like its not absorbed the yolk completely, and that has caused the belly not to close up. Wrap it in wet warm paper towel and place It small bowl or cup so that it can't pull or tug at it. Sometimes it will close and heal on its on with a little time. HTH.

    ar flow question

    I was looking for answer to this question. First pip's started yesterday (day 20) around 11am. My temps and humidity are perfect, but chicks look dry and have not begun to zip. They don't see to be abe to turn. If I turn off fan the temp and humidity drop rapidly. Am I getting a false reading...

    Sounds good. If you see he's still not absorbed everything, I'd keep him wrapped in damp, warm towel and give him more time. I just don't think he could get out of that on his own.
