    I have a little Cochan Bantam That is a Roosters favorite and now has a bare back should,i cover it or leave her be. Michigan is single digits. I am leaving them in their co-op today which has a good layer of wood chips. She has 19 friends in there with her.

    How many pound a of feed should I be going through per month for 17 regular and 20 silkies. I use 200 pounds a month. That seems like a lot. They free range 4 hours per day.

    I like the rope rafter idea. They could be spaced to give the net good support and prevent the sagging even when not weighted down with snow. Since one side is 4 ft and the other is 10 ft it has a good slope. As soon as this weather calms down I am out to give it a try. My main run is fine...

    It is along a 4ft fence on one side another 10 ft fence on the other side so it is a weird configuration. Ty for the suggestion.

    Help I have a problem with the netting over my run every time it snows it comes down from the weight of the snow. What could I use that would stay up? This is annoying to redo.

    How long do hens normally keep laying. My originals are 3 years old. I am to attached to cull them out and I am at my capacity for room. Chicken rangling is full of hard decisions. I couldn't eat my hens.

    I need to rehome a rooster. He was hatched in June. His daddy is an Americana. We call him big red. I have 14 hens and two roosters. But it isn't working out so he has to go. We are located north of Bay City. Pm me if interested.
