Caution, string over run can be a mistake!

I had aviary netting over the outside corral/run for my chooks cause there are Hawks in the area, well as the leaves fell it kept catching them, got weighted down so I removed it and used string to weave a top layer of webbing to keep the hawks out, I used the fence and made the openings around...

Help, my 16 week old hen ate a string

I hung an apple by a string so the chickens would have a treat to eat, I never thought they would eat the string, I didn't see anyone do it, so I'm not positive, but it's a really secure enclosure so I'm sure no one else did. Broken beak, wht do I do?

My 12 week old RIR came out of the coop this morning and the end of her beak was broken off just hanging there crooked, just the tip, not the whole beak. What should I do? Leave it alone? or try and break it off? I have no idea how this happened, I have 6 chickens all the same age.

One of my 4 week old Buff Orphington chicks is getting a little nasty, when I put my hand in the brooder to fill the water or give them feed she comes after me and tries pecking me. Do I give her a slap, do I yell at her, what do I do to stop this behavior? It's getting me to be afraid, I...

My 4week old chicks are getting nasty

I have had my chicks 2 weeks, there growing like weeds, but I'm noticing some aggressive behavior. For the most part they all get along fine, but sometimes I go out there and they are chasing each other, jumping on each other, and sometimes are pecking each other. I just enlarged the brooder...
