    LOL!!! The junkyard car antenna worked well for us for over 5 years (including brutal Michigan winters). I understand, if you can get the antenna from junkyard then just buy a $200 auto door off Amazon.

    Nice, but seems a lot easier to directly run to 110 instead of solar (and less start up cost) if you have it available.

    Can you locate hot and cold in a single wire adapter?

    Is there a way to cut the single wire power adapter wire as to separate the hot and cold wires inside? In the second adapter pictured there are 2 wires coming out which would work, but I only have a single wire adapter that I would like to use. Is this possible?

    I'm back!!!!!!!!! I'm the OP to this thread! Haven't had chickens do to zoning since 2014.... but we have chicks this year. So I made my bucket feeder tonight!!! My plans say cut the hole 3-1/2", but I found on the first bucket that's too big. It should be 3" which works great and is super tight...

    I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm the OP to this thread!!!! We are getting a coop again (had to get rid of our original in 2014 because of zoning rules). I'm glad I made this thread because now I can follow my own instructions to make another one of these!!!
