I live in Florida so it doesnt get dark her til 8:30 or 9. I checked and both the females have the hump back look or raised bustle like you said. But they never go outside and are in a HUGE aviary. Would they be burying them possibly?

Sometimes if 2 roosters are in together, one is more dominant so the other might not crow. I had that happen with my 2 that had had in with my girls. The less dominant one was even slower developing his comb and wattles and stuff.
Since you removed the one with the bad foot, the pecking order changed...even if it was for a few days. The other rooster is now dominant and will continue to hurt the other one to establish his dominance.
