    MYSTERY CHICK!!!

I have what I believe is a "sizzle" silkie/frizzle bantam cochin mix: feathered legs, 5 toes, looks primarily bc-ish except for the 5th toe. I don't know if that helps you at all...

Gender guesses please! (EEs) Please help--rehoming any roos laters today

Thanks for the feedback everyone :) Update: White EE's comb keeps getting redder and he/she is getting some peachy feather coloration as well. Other EE's comb is still yellow, but he/she's comb is getting much more prominent. Time will tell!

Gender guesses please! (EEs) Please help--rehoming any roos laters today

Thanks! They're supposed to be pullets, and my 3 year old has grown quite attached to these two chickens in particular. Will wait a while longer and see what happens :) Glad to know the pink comb isn't a done deal.

    The EE braggers thread!!!

I just got my first EEs earlier this spring, and they're great! I'm concerned that two of my pullets may actually be boys... I posted photos here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/781050/gender-guesses-please-ees-please-help-rehoming-any-roos-laters-today All guesses are greatly appreciated :)

Gender guesses please! (EEs) Please help--rehoming any roos laters today

Any gender guesses? They were supposed to be pullets, but I have my doubts. The white one constantly runs between me and the other chickens, has tried to bite me, and seems to have a pink comb. The other stands like a rooster sometimes, very upright with a more upright tail. Thanks...

Need help sexing these chickens please

I'm new to cochins--just got a few myself this year--but if you caught them crowing... The black one seems to have a bigger and deeper red comb than the frizzle in your photos. Is that true? I've heard their combs and wattles won't be THAT red until just before laying if girls. Maybe wait a...

All help is greatly appreciated as I have an opportunity to rehome my boys today, but have a few that I can't quite determine yet. They are both approx. 5/6 wks old. Two chickens in question: 1) "Millie" or "Mickey"? Ameraucana or EE? (The "fluffy tail" is the 2nd photo isn't him/her. It's a...

    FREE Bantam Cochin Roos--several frizzles!

Hi, BYC! I'm located in Northern Colorado and have some boys in need of good homes. Shipping is not an option. I can drive reasonable distances to deliver, but picking up your new roo is preferred. They are roughly 4-5 weeks old and CUTE! Different colors available. Many are frizzles. One is a...

    Bantam Cochins!! Pullets or cockerels?

SO... I ordered a straight run of bantam cochins and they're about 4 weeks old. Please help me identify gender--this is my first time with chickens--and also confirm the breed of the last chick posted. I have my guesses, but I want more votes before I re-home any possible roos. (I can only...
