Oh yes, they are messy with their water alright. I have to change our large water can everyday and I even have a special tray under it to catch any overspills. They like to get it the tray all muddy and put their food into. It's just a duck thing I guess...lol. Enjoy your ducks, they are so fun.
My ducks were born around the end of June, because we found them the first week of July and they were tiny little things. (They just walked into the back yard one day, with no mother or father around). I live in NY so we are just starting to get some warmer temps here about 50 to 60 and the...
Thanks for the updates. Yes I did have 2 male and a female...but I just found one a home. I had to separate one of the males from the female because he was pecking her neck to much and hurting her. So now I only have 1 male and 1 female. I read the same thing you told me about having too...
Hello, I have a question about my female Pekin duck. When will she lay eggs? I've got her in July when she was 2 weeks old. I had 2 other males but had to give one away because he was pecking at her neck too much. Now I have the two male and female. I really want to get some eggs. When...

I would like to join your club. I am new to ducks. I have so many questions. I have Pekins. Five babies show up at my door last 4th of July. Two were eaten when I gave 3 away to a neighbor, she brought the last one back, we named him Lucky. I just love them. I have 2 males and a female but...
Will it ever stop? All "Lucky" (the male who pecks her) does is chase her around the yard. She doesn't have this problem with the other male. In fact, I have her with him all night and "Lucky" is by himself in when they aren't roaming the yard. Will Lucky peck the other male if the female is...
I have 3 Pekins, one female and two males. I know this isn't a good combination. So my problem is, one male "the leader" is pecking at the females neck, removing feathers and making her bleed. I've read this is normal for having two many males. However, this male is so sweet and loves to be...
