Buff (rare color) dewlap toulouse goslings for sale. I have more babies ready to hatch so I would like to move them along into good homes. The parents are gentle and sweet, good around children. This breed is known for being the "gentlemen of the barnyard", very gentle geese. I live in Kent...

Will my Pilgrim geese be able to protect their babies from our chickens???

You must separate the babies from the chickens..they will kill anything young. I have lost baby chicks and ducklings to even young pullets. I bought a a dog fence to separate my nesting mommas that keep the chickens out. Hope all goes well with the hatch!

    Gander FIGHTING!! HELP!

Update: I have separated the pairs, now I have an occasional fight and I have noticed that when I come running they break up. My one male has a death wish out for the welshie drake. Poor guy has no feathers on the back of his neck from this "houdini" gander who finds a way into his pen and...

Thanks Littledear I will debate that "Zero side effects due to the fact that they have not altered the gene structure" = no adverse affects. You can have adverse affects regardless of whether the gene structure is altered or not. Pharmaceuticals can give you adverse affects without altering gene...

    What are some not-so-aggressive breeds?

My dewlap toulouse geese are the wonderful. They honk whenever someone comes up on the property but have never, once bit me or showed aggressive behavior. They are really very gentle, even around children:)

    Crooked Goose Neck

Sorry to hear of your loss. I too, had a muscovy duckling that developed a crooked neck and still survives to this day. Looking back on the diet I would put vitamins in the water and feed duck starter for the food. Though the chick feed will say it can be used for waterfowl, I would steer clear...

    Broody Welsh Harlequins ?

Hello fellow welshy lovers:) I have a female sitting on duck eggs and chicken eggs. I usually let the eggs add up and take them into the house but this momma is now sitting on the eggs. Could someone tell me if this is normal? I was under the impression that this breed had the "broodiness"...

black muscovy drake to good home

So sorry to hear you lost him. I am amazed at how "alpha" these drakes can be. Both my drakes have the geese under control here...they are a comedy team to watch. I am so sorry you are not closer, I would like for him to go to a good home:)
