I've uninstalled and re-installed the app. I've enabled and disabled the flag a few times. I've logged out and back in 3 times. The app still shows ads.
Moderators, any suggestions?
2 hatched and seem fine
2 died (she'll was busted and they were dead)
5 eggs left, which we candled last night and saw the bloodline, below bloodline was solid dark, we presumed they were not fertile because she wasn't on them, now today shes on them so I'm hoping we're incorrect and they are...
FF has been all that I've fed our chickens for at least 1.5 yr now except the time hubby bought the cheapest pellet there was and I wasn't there to stop him. Our hens and roos look gorgeous. The roos tails are iridescent. We don't know much about chickens compared to most of you guys. You guys...
Momma is on lock down under an old steel upside down umbrella stand. Last night she was in the opposite corner of the stall. Here's the starter feed and water. I put just a cup or so of feed for momma in a corner of the long feeder.
I'm delighted to report I don't know squat about candling eggs as evidenced by the fact momma is sitting on them this morning. Apparently we will have more chicks soon. One adorable fuzzball poked her head out and watched me set up water and starter feed before momma corralled her back under her...
I love this app. Big kudos to the designers and developers behind it. Layout is intuitive and notifications are spot on. Navigation is smooth and widgets like the thumbs up actually work and are super handy. I would pay for an ad free version, say $3.99 or so. Is an ad free version in the works?
Thank you all so much. My plan after reading this is to affix chicken wire to the stable door to keep mom and chicks inside the stall. I will setup their water and starter feed today. I want nature to do its thing.
My husband was wondering if other hens will get jealous and start hatching too...
We candled the eggs. I had to youtube videos on how to candle eggs. We don't have an incubator or anything like that. We aren't set up at all for this. The remaining eggs had a bloodline but no movement. Our flashlight is tiny but it seemed the dark space below the bloodline was solid dark, no...
One of our hens tucked herself away about 3 weeks ago in one of our horse stalls. She hatched 2 eggs finally today. These are our first hatchling chicks. I read through 'storey's guide to raising chickens' but it mainly talks about incubators so I have a dumb question. We've always bought our...
With all the recent rain, we've had a plethora of interesting problems. 2 days ago my DH killed a rattlesnake in the driveway and a bullsnake in our coop. I noticed these weird white spots growing at the base of our coop by the chicken feeder. Can someone ID these? I don't know if I should be...
Hello, I'm trying to help a jenny donkey that was left behind when our neighbors left. They essentially abandoned her. They gave me a bag of feed and made sure she had water on an automatic waterer, which is working. I am in the process of finding her a loving forever home. (I got their...
Dumb newbie question... TSC told me I need to put pine shavings, but we have loads of cedar shavings... is there a reason I can't put cedar shavings down where the hens lay eggs?
Thank you for your patience w/my dumb questions!
