I have a mama that has made a nest away from the other animals in my front yard, its really cold out here and i dont know what i can do once the babies are born? Any suggestions/ ideas??? I have been giving her water and food but now she doesnt leave the nest... she has about 12 eggs under...

I noticed the other day that one of my hens was acting different and was laying facing away from all the other hens... She had some crusty stuff in one eye which made it to where she couldnt open it, almost like she has a cold... It has been 2 days and now she wont eat much or drink, she wants...

I was given these beautiful hens but some of them i cant make out... One looks like a Rhode island Red and a barrel Rock ... not 100% sure and wanted to be sure... was told they are 7 months old , they are laying eggs... Thanks for any help...

Hi all... From Colorado and loving the farm life... I already have 8 grown hens and 1 silkie Rooster... Absolutley love his attitude... I also rescued 2 female hens from a zoo that had to many chickens... They are really big, alot bigger then my girls... I will get some pics once the snow goes...
