I thought FOR SURE that SOMEBODY WOULD HELP ME.
Not even a suggestion? THANKS
My Brinsea 7 egg incubator has been wonderful for 3yrs...used 3 times. Today in about an hour, we will be on DAY 1 of 6 chicken eggs incubating. All the eggs have the 'holes' in them and we can hear chirping.
THE BRINSEA IS MALFUNCTIONING!!! The temp alarm woke us up and temp was like 102...
I have 7 eggs in a bator. Today is day 18. On Tuesday, Sep. 8, it will be day 1. Do eggs need the FULL 21 days to form, so that
they'd actually hatch on day 0? Or, is it just a full 20+ days, so they will HATCH out on day 1?
Just wondering if we need to be home watching on day 1 (Sep. 8) or...
Ok, 2 of the 7 eggs have hatched. I am concerned about 'room' in the bator....it's a smaller one. Here is a link to see a pic:

So, should I still leave them in there for a whole day?
And, can I atleast remove the empty eggs as they hatch?
And, should...

What kind of bedding should I put in their cage? A towel? Cedar shavings? Newspaper? Pls respond....

I checked him again tonight, around 8'hrs...

Thanks for the links, I will check them out.

I had not thought of approaching the HOA about changing the rule. I guess I always think that it's virtually impossible to win with these things.
Yes, there is far too much hostility in this 'country' (world as well) right now. And your approach, that of rational reasoning vs. drama, was very...
Yeah, one or 2 great points here. That is why I posted.
My intent was not to have 'frankenchickens'. That just comes off as ridiculous and evil-sounding. Not a very welcoming reply to someone's FIRST post ever-on here.
My basement has many windows and double walkout doors with windows in...
I live in a subdivision in a rural area of NE GA. We have an HOA. The yards of the homes are large, 1/2 up to almost an acre, but it is against our HOA 'rules' to have chickens. I seriously, badly, want to have one hen, for fresh EGGS. We went on a field trip a few wks ago to a full on farm and...
