I had one that struggled to lay good eggs. Just took her awhile. I had shell less eggs too. Eventually it all straightened out. If the shell was really thin, it would break and would eat the insides, but they weren't egg eaters. I have pictures posted on my profile if you want to see mine.
Aren't t!hey sweet. My LaLa demands I pick her up while she orders the others to go in the coop and for me to hand carry her and put her personally...they are so funny
This is what my Guard Brahmas herded in from the yard to the patio Honking all the way in...hahahaha We relocated it to the bottom of the hill....great for Rodents...
Today LaLa honked and honked til I checked her out, I thought she was choking, but she was moving a snake across the back yard onto the patio along with ChaCha and the other hens til they got it cornered at corner of back of house ...OMG!
I was able to get it into a container using a broom...so...
