    My egg laying usually decreases right about now every year. Here in southeast texas, its been 98-105 degrees every day for quite awhile, I always assumed the heat eventually gets to them and they slow down egg production. For me, it usually picks back up in September sometime.

    I understand the possibility that they will go in a pot. The only reason they aren't in my pot is my wife won't have it, so I am offering them for free, to someone willing to pick them up. If they want them for pets, thats fine, if not, thats fine too.

    Sorry, I can't help you then, I don't feel comfortable keeping them in box for 2-3 days in the mail for them to travel 20 miles.

    anybody use this thermostat?

    I use one of those for homebrewing beer. It keeps temps to within 1 degree consistently. It's a bit pricey but worth the money, you will never need another one. *edit: If you aren't familiar with wiring, I'd get the pre-wired one for $75
