    Sounds like you have resilient grass, haha if there is room fora tiller try tilling for a few weeks and being very vigilante about any new growth than lay down your cardboard, mulch, etc This should help turn the roots into minced meat :)

The cool thing is that marigolds don't mind being crowded so you can put them as close to your other plants as you'd like when the fowers get large pluck them and scatter the petals about the garden... also if you want dry and pulverize the petals... it's like organic sevin...

    If you know anyone that has connections with a local rock quarry you can pick up stones that are beautiful but didn't quite make the cut to palletize and wholesale (scraps) so to speak and it usally looks nice if u lay them with pea gravel between them

    This is my feed/water area the yellow bowl is water, black is oyster shell and the feeder is layer feed! What would y'all think if I raised the whole setup off the ground about 6 inches? It is the bottom of an old dog house that my dogs wouldn't get in... if it was raised would they get up...
