    Feather picking

The link you added looks like a great way to work it out. My chickens free range and have places to hide around the area. Luckily I live in the country and don’t have to worry about neighbors opinions. There is an older coop that I started with eight years ago, that they sometimes spend time in...

    My poor baby

New update on my poor baby. Apparently my little darling is also an escape artist. Mama and babies are and have been in a cage located in my garage. She and babies have been fine in this cage, no mishaps. This little late comer is gonna be a challenge. It escaped through the wires and was loose...

    My poor baby

Update on my poor baby, it is up walking on it’s own, still a bit wobbly but gaining strength rapidly. Noticeably smaller than its siblings, fitting in and all looks promising. Snickerdoodle is an excellent Mom.

Can my chicks catch strepp from my grandkids? My 8 week old chicks have been fluffed up and stumbling around in their brooder. I have lost two of them. Three of them appear to have perked up some, they are eating again and not as fluffed up. In order to treat them, I started by adding apple...

Duck Breed Focus - Buff Orpington

I have seen Donald and Daffy interact with the females and they seem to be civil so far. As far as interacting with the chickens, they pretty well keep to their clicks and all get along pretty well when it's feeding time as well. so far so good. I'll be glad when the ducks start laying eggs also.

Duck Breed Focus - Buff Orpington

It started last spring of 2015, I bought three little ducklings and four little barred rock pullet chicks from Atwoods, to add to my flock of three rhoade island red hens and a rooster. I was not exceptionally particular what kind of ducks they turned out to be, I was hoping they were pekin...
