We went Saturday and I have to say that the Southern Ohio Poultry Association should be ashamed to have their name associated with that JUNK SALE!!! It had been about 15 years since I had been to Lucasville. It used to be great. You never knew what kind of animals you might see. I was...

$5-$10 per chicken is reasonable if you want to sell them. Charge too much and you will not be able to get rid of them. I just sold 2 White Leghorn hens and 1 White Leghorn rooster for $17. I only had 1 inquiry on them so I was glad I got as much as I did.

I have a rooster and two hens that are breeding for sale. I have one chick to prove it. She is about 8 weeks old. $20 for all of them. These birds are mostly white leghorn. Hens have one to two black spots. The rooster has a cream colored saddle on his back. PM or e-mail me at...
A new friend just told me that she has a 35 week Buff Orpington Rooster free to a good home. Please contact her by e-mail at [email protected]. She is located in Butler, Indiana which is in the northeast part of the state.

I live in Southeastern IN. Just outside of Sunman. I see that mommahento5 lives in Oldenburg. That is just down the road from me. I am looking for at least 1 maybe 2 White Leghorn roosters. I just lost mine to dubbing. I thought I would be preventing infection from frostbite, but they just...
Well, they are both dead. The beat up one made it to the next afternoon and the other one made it 2 more days. I did just as I read in all the forums. I checked out the Cajun Yankee article multiple times and watched the filmstrip. I had them on Teramycin and electrolytes. They would not...
Just had a couple rooster get frostbite and that is what it looked like. I dubbed both of mine and within 3 days they were both dead. I know that every other person in this forum says to dub and I believed every one of them. So, I thought it would be fine. WRONG. First rooster died the day...
The "healthy" rooster (he has frostbite too but not as bad) must have aggravated the other one all day while I was at work. Before I left this morning they were sizing each other up. I expected that since the one had been away for a few days. I figured they had never had problems before and...
Dad hatched hundreds of peacocks when I was a kid. I think he had 15 to 20 laying hens at one time. Those things are NOISEY. They are beautiful birds but, they make a lot of racket and they don't care if it's 2 in the afternoon or 2 in the morning.
I had a rooster that looked identical to those photos about 4 nights ago. He was leaning forward on the roost and had foam and liquid coming from his nose because he was leaning his head so far down. I immediately brought him into our basement and kept him in a large box. I found articles...
Just got back from the store. I bought a pair of "Razor Edged" Fiskars. The package says that they are "The sharpest blades we make". The New Moon is Jan 26 and I think I will be trying my hand at dubbing the night before. I put the rooster back in the coop with the rest of the birds this...
Poohbear,
Do you think the cold would affect the amount of blood? I can do it outside where it is MUCH colder. Also have you ever had to drain wattles before dubbing?
