Still haven't found an acrylic door. Anyone know where I can buy one or has anyone but their own from a piece of acrylic?

Has anyone tried cutting their own door out offs piece if acrylic?

I wondered that myself. I was hoping someone had already done that and could tell me if they were successful. Such as, is there a specific thickness I need? I'm not sure if acrylic comes with or without any coatings and if so, is there a specifc coating I should get or avoid, etc.

I've searched eBay and googled but so far all I have been able to find is either the whole incubator or the clear door for the newer models. Anyone know if the doors for the newer models can be made to for the 1266? Or know where I can buy a new or used clear door for the 1266?

Anyone? Surely someone else has run into this same issue?

Thanks so much. That makes me feel a little better. I had wondered if I might have had bacterial issues all along. Out of 28 eggs that I set, 9 had no development at day 10 and when I cracked them open they all had a milky scrambled look. There was no discernible yolk...the entire inside looked...

The temp and humidity had been very steady. I did have a drop in humidity on day 29. Two of my eggs had hatched and the ducklings were stumbling around in there. I still don't know how this happened and had you asked me I would have told you it was impossible BUT...one of the ducklings ended up...
