I never even thought of that? I have all different kinds of hens and they do not all have alot of butt fluff.....lol

He is most likely a little over a year old. I got him last fall and he was from a spring hatch. He is beautiful, a Columbian Wyondotte and not mean. Someone dropped off three of them at a friend of mines and I saved him from the soup pot.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHH,,,,,,,I could never live anywhere and have it like this all the time! I have six three week old chicks in the garage and shut the light off before they cook. Thank goodness I did all the barn work early this morning, this is pretty bad for the beginning of June.
I am going to try and get outside EARLY so that I can get all the stalls cleaned and the chicken coops I absolutely have to do! Plus all the waterers have to be cleaned and filled. You would never know outside right now that it is going to be that hot, I did notice the humidity going up...
That is sooo nice and I love to hear of acts of kindness. There are still many good people out there and it is refreshing to hear such things instead of all the terrible stuff.
That is so funny because just the other day my daughter and I drove by a huge turkey farm that sells fresh turkeys every holiday season. I know they have babies at this time of year so I said: You know they must have babies for sale.

Yes it's ok. Sometimes things that were done in the past are not always the best and then again many are. But just think if that were you getting held upside down being dunked in a bucket of water...I honestly do not think the little chicken brain has the capacity to understand why that is...
