    Jersey Giants or Black Wyandottes?

Yes, tomorrow. They are the most submissive cockerels I’ve ever had if that’s the case. Ha ha! :)

    Jersey Giants or Black Wyandottes?

I am wondering if every once in a while the yellow can show as a recessive trait...?

    Jersey Giants or Black Wyandottes?

Yes, he is a breeder. I think he also gets some chicks from a local hatchery. He's pretty awesome. We call him the chicken man.

    Jersey Giants or Black Wyandottes?

I know, one of them has silver legs, but there's some yellow on them, and the other are true yellow. I thought that was interesting. Yes, I got them from a true breeder so maybe they are just true to size. They dwarf my Easter Eggers, but the EE's are a little younger.

    Two coops, one run.

We have the chicken coop Rhode Island Red house in the back from the Chicken Coop Company, and a coop we got on Amazon on the side a long time ago. The run we also bought on Amazon and are expanding it. It’s cute. Will be painting the smaller coop to match the back coop. None of this was built...

    Jersey Giants or Black Wyandottes?

We just got these two pullets as Black Wyandottes, about 20 weeks. They are huge. Super friendly. Are these really black Wyandottes and are they always this big?

Mixed ladies, help with this EE?

Hello, Here’s a few of my flock. They are about 15 weeks old at this point. This one EE has a strange color pattern. Does anyone have one like this? She/he has a black muff. She’s also the smallest of my EE’s currently. Thanks!

    Easter Egger Hens or Roos?

I think you’re talking about the Salmon Faverolle, those are really easy to sex as chicks because the cockerels have much darker coloring and it’s really obvious! They do look good with my EEs though. :)

    Easter Egger Hens or Roos?

Or it’s a Salmon Faverolle, they are a weird looking breed lol. Those aren’t EEs, same age though.

The solid red one? That’s a red sex link? But you might be right about that one.

    Easter Egger Hens or Roos?

Hello, It’s been ten years since I’ve last owned chickens. I got these chicks through a local breeder and he’s pretty great. However, I’m struggling with sexing these Easter Eggers, can you help? Thanks! Hen or Roo? One of my EE’s has a really weird checkered color pattern too. They are around...

    Injured Leg

One of my hens has injured her leg, she still seems to put weight on it and is able to get around minimally. Should I just let it be for a few days and see how it goes or cull her? I don't want her to suffer, and I am not wasting money by taking her to the vet. Thanks for your advice in advance...

    Some chickens aren't laying?

Hello, I bought 10 chicks on September 15, 2015, 8 survived. They are now all very nice looking hens. I also have two hens slightly older than they are. Some of my chickens are not laying any eggs yet. Why is this? I know the weather is crazy in the pacnorwest. They do receive extra light as...

    Welsummer Rooster

I believe I have found someone who wants to take it. So far, it crows only occasionally. I certainly am not partial to Roosters. :)

    Welsummer Rooster

Hello, One of my pullets has turned into a beautiful Welsummer Rooster. We live close to our neighbors, but it is not against code for us to have a rooster. I actually kind of "like" him. What are your thoughts on keeping it?
