Lol that's what mine are doing now. It's true they never do seem to be happy. My other chickens before I had to round them up to go to bed they couldn't get enough of running around.

Thanks so much for all the replays! What treats do you give your chickens? They are on organic layer feed right now and i want to feed them a good treat when they come out of the pen.

Now they are starting to go out when I first open the door for about 30 mins then they go back in. I think they are just taking there time to adjust.

It's day 5 now and they have zero interest in leaving to venture out still. I also find that they don't stay altogether in the pen as one flock but are scattered around the pen by themselves all awkward?

I just got 8, 20 week Barred Rocks a couple weeks ago and 3 days ago I opened the door of the pen to let them free range and they just wouldn't go outside they just lay around in the pen pecking at the ground. I am getting super frustrated because we had 5 Easter eggers that would just run out...

That's my guess to! I know 1 is a hen and I'm almost positive the other 4 are Roos! That's my luck lol! Thanks for you guess

Sorry my phone keeps changing combs to cons! #2 has a single comb and it thin like #3 but its very high and the other 3 have wide combs with almost 3 rows? Is there a chance #2 could be a hen? Fingers crosses!!

Do you think the cons have anything to do with sex cause that one little hen is the only one that has that little tiny cone.

I live in Canada and got them from a chicken breeder... I'm not impressed by his sexing or maybe he wanted to get rid of some roosters lol

3 of them have a wider cone with 3 stripes and 1 has almost nothing at all and one has just a single higher cone that's red!
