Upside I got 8 lovely silkie chicks from 10 eggs so I’m really happy. Seem to have a good mix of colours too :)

It died :( didn’t make any progress after 15 hours so I just checked with the light to see if I could see blood vessels and there was loads so I couldn’t really help at that point,popped back and hoped it would’ve hatched by morning or abrobed everything so I could of at least intervened but it...

I hope so it’s just I can see some yellow fluid so that’s why I’m thinking the yolk sad, looks like a massive pocket of blood. Hopefully it’ll hatch 😔

I’m not holding out hope, I can see blood or yellow stuff inside the shell looking from the outside, not sure if it’s virus it’s yolk sac 😭😭 I’m in bits I’ve never had this happen before, it’s probably going to die isn’t it 😭😭

They’re both pekins so the black and yellow one is a cuckoo Pekin and the grey one will be lavender Pekin, both very fluffy legs and wanted pekins In FOREVER. My two favourite colours to hatch too :) x

It’s very old, still air, manual incubator and it’s actually really good I’ve had it about 6 years but I know my grandad has had it years before. There’s no name or anything on it. Only pic I have on my phone it’s half wooden base with plastic lid top. Can get more pics if needed

Thank you so most have them are now sturdy but a couple are saddle shaped but least they aren’t moving around anymore, so I have laid them flat but their is 1 where the air cells is sturdy most of but theirs a corner that moves so I’ve left that in the carton and see what happens. Also don’t...
