put some heat in your house........most of my neighbors have chickens and they don't heat.......their egg count goes down to nothing........I keep my coop at 60 degrees, and have eggs all winter........I use a small heater instead of a heat lamp......it gets too cold in northern Mn.

THE ONE I USE HAS RAISED MY ELECTRIC BILL BY $12 A MONTH......WHEN I OFFSET THAT BY THE 10 OR 11 EGGS I GET A DAY....WELL WORTH IT TO ME

you might want to look into getting a small space heater.....I did, now my coop is nice and warm.....and I put in a small florescent bulb to immitate daylight......get 11 eggs a day....out of 11 hens....and everybody is happy

.... when I woke up this morning.....It was -35.....actual temp.....everyone I know that has chickens, theirs have stopped laying.....I am still getting 10 or 11 eggs a day out of my 11 hens......I was told they slow down in the cold????? what's going on??? not complaining mind you

that is a fact......we got rid of TV about the same time we got chickens

we have people, especially family members, laugh at us because we enjoy sitting and watching our chickens.......I guess they think we are wierd????? we sure enjoy it though

just an update......I AM A FAN OF GOLF BALLS......I PUT 2IN EACH EGG BOX, AND VIOLA......NO MORE EATEN EGGS.......3 DAYS IN A ROW
