I have poison oak on my property. My dogs run through it and around it all the time. I have yet to get it from them. I must be immune????
Anyway, good thread. I was worried about it and the chickums!!!!!!
Oooohhhhh yes, yes, that was the poop board one. For some reason I thought it was connected or inside the one about the straw someone is using. I really, REALLY liked that thread. I wish I could find it again. I think the name brand of the straw started with an L and it came in plastic wrap...
Thank you for the advice. What I REALLY want is to find that other thread. There were lots of comments regarding what to put on the floor, I THINK there was even a picture of a coop where the person made a little shelf and put sand in it so she could just poop scoop it out. If anyone can link...
A couple of weeks ago I read a thread about what to put down in the coop and on the ground. Someone (I think in Tennessee?) was talking about a "straw" product that they bought. They said they could put it down and just mix it up for weeks before they had to change it. If someone remembers that...
Winters don't usually get below 35 degrees and summers around 95, although we have had a pretty warm start to this summer. The area is well shaded and it makes a huge difference in temperature.
I too am looking to get chickens. I live in Shingle Springs CA and it can get a bit chilly in the winter. I am looking for suggestions on what kind of chickens to get. I plan on only having 2 or 3 because that is all my "coop" will support.
Thank you in advance for your help!!!
This might make you laugh, but as I read the post that includes the link to "runs with trees" I had an image of Kevin Costner doing, I dunno, SOMETHING with trees.
That was a helpful link by the way, thank you very much!!!!
the trees are IN the run. That is where I want to put the chicken wire. My question, maybe this is a better way to say it, is how to incorporate the trees into the run.
