Okay so I have gotten many different responses on what age I should start feeding my chicks veggies. So I would like to hear as many different opinions as possible and I know once I start feeding them veggies I need to start giving them grit. So at what age do I start feeding them veggies?
Hey,
My chicks are 2 weeks old today and I was told that I can start giving grit and veggies. I am wondering if I can use sand as grit and how to introduce it to them? Also what veggies can I use to feed them?
Thanks,

P.S. The chicks feathers are coming in VERY fast so sad to...
Stromberg's Chicks and game Birds Inc. they have a great variety. I think they have a store front in Minnesota But they ship from Texas but they came and I got 2 extras and they where all very healthy. There is a minimum of 25 but if you had a few people that would want to order with you you...
I'm not a chicken expert but I did read that if you approach your chickens from above they think that you are a bird of pray so you should approach them close to the ground.
Hey,
I read that you can put lettuce in your chick brooder is that true? Also I have a lizard that I feed crickets and I was wondering could I put a few crickets in there? The chicks are a week old today is there any new foods I should introduce?
Thanks,

Hey BYC,
At what age do chicks get fully feathered? Is that the time you put your chicks in the coop and allow them to go out side or should they go out sooner?
Thanks,

Hey,
I have had my 25 chicks on newspaper and now on the third day I am going to switch over to pine shavings and I am wondering is there a special way to introduce it to them or just dump it in there?
Thanks,
