FLORIDA - Please list your City here That Allows Chickens!

Call your local code enforcement. They will tell how your home is zoned and if what animals you can have at your address. I live 100 ft behind a beef ranch but, yet my neighborhood is zoned residential. So I can only have 4 hens no roosters. Or livestock including potbelly pigs or goats. Now of...

Egg song but, no eggs? :(

My 20 wk leghorns have been singing for weeks now but, no eggs. Why? Clean water, good feed. Im hoping any day now. Just wondering what might be. Doesn't look like they are getting eaten. But, they kick out the hay in the boxes to ground. Leaving bare wood.

New hen very nervous around anything.

I just got a 17wk plymouth barrel rock she came from a place that to me looked stressful. She is being separated from my flock now and she looks like she was pecked on alot. Do you think she might calm down and be able to mix in. My polish hens are the ones that try to be the aggressive ones...

new to it all ... chicken wire in or out side of run??

I luckly have not a issue with cridders. Just rabbits. Now you could wire the bottom of the run if you'd like. I have seen that done with a few coops. Then a thick layer of soil/dirt over.

Would your chicken drink from this??

Looks pretty cool. I think the hens would love it plus the soothing noise it would make would be awesome.

    What is an aggressive breed?

You need to teach the dogs to respect the chickens. I have taught my daschunds to leave the chickens alone and of course I supervise when the dogs are outside around my chickens. No different if the chickens where small children.

new to it all ... chicken wire in or out side of run??

If you want a clean look then install inside. If you want to do it quick outside. I did mine outside and will finish with trim. And hard wire you should use if you can afford to.
