They are just setting the pecking order. That is how chickens higher up in the pecking order show thier domanace. It is completly fine. My LB rooster is the calmest that i have.

In your breeding stock some of your pullets should have black ticking in thier back to keep the buff color rich in the offspring. Just don't breed two birds with ticking. You don't want to show the birds with the ticking because they are breeding qualty not SQ.

My 08 rir hen has yellow stuff around her vent and feathers in that area. Somtimes she has it and sometimes she dont.she is not laying. I will try to get pictues soon. Any thing will help.

Any chicken can go broody. Some are just more prone than others. Just like you could get a silke that will never try to set, it is very unlikly but possable. It sounds like your hen is broody she might set on them the full 21 days and she might not. It just depends on the hen.
