I have been having the same probelm and I have two and half acres and yet they still want to come onto my porch and poo....and its not like its hard enough to just sweep..so I have to break out the hose each time. I did put up a pen when they were smaller but they ate so much grass, it was like...
My goslings have been on daily graze since they were 3 weeks old...they stay outside...from the time my son gets on the bus to the time it gets dark (7am to 9 pm) they are outside...and I only feed them the feed at night or sometimes in the morning...
I did have a problem with one doing...

Yea, I did do reasearch....I love finding out info and learning about animals. I was going to be a vet but started having a family first so now I have to wait till all the kids grow up. Ilove learning about stuff lik ethat. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had the same issue in the past...
My gosling has this I've noticed with his beak. He eats fine and its not crooked if you look straight down on it...only if you look straight at it, the top portion is swayed a bit. Here are some pics. If you notice on the round tip and draw an imaginary line up to his head, you'll see what I...

HE is so friendly and I am not sure if that is because he was alone with me for 2 wks before thses guys came or if its the age...the others still want to follow me around but don't like me picking them up or holding them too long...
I was wondering about the peroxide because when I took biology last year, I learned why peroxide kills bacteria and stuff which is that our cells break it down into its components (oxygen, hydrogen), hence the bubbling. But the bacteria don't have the enzyme or whatever it is, that breaks it...

My gosling got a cut under his beak and it's getting quite swollen. I have used peroxide to clean it and then first aid ointment for people. Is this bad? Do I need a special bird ointment or can I use triple antibiotic ointment or first aid ointment?

Well I was told to buy a forced air and that it was better. Its true that they are very hard to hatch especially if shipped. I tried with 9 eggs this past march and only hatched out one...would have been two but there was a problem with positioning in one egg....
The one i hathced was...
I only have 3 goslings and about lost one because I think I had the wrong food...who ever answers you, make sure you get the food they suggest...the lady who sold me mine said Dumor starter/grower....its a yellow bag adn it says for geese on it. You can get it at TSC
I had mine at about 99.5 the entire time and then humidity about 55 to 60...then at hatching I didn't let it get above 70%...
I only hatched one, but most likely woudl have hatched the two that were there but one was facing the wrong side of the aircell..so tehre was nothing to break...
Yea tell me about it..great idea!
i did it with a 1/2 gallon..turned it sideways and cut 3 holes in it..so that I could leave the holes small enough that they coudln't get in, but also that they woudln't be fighting over who gets to drink...so each has a hole to drink out of ...it really works...
For now take away that feed and just give him sugar water because if not he might get worse...not sure though..because it could very well be something else. I am just going by what I just went through this weekend. I have heard that game bird feed works just as well for geese...but I know that...
