I am posting this to hopefully help someone in a situation with sick birds. when my birds started getting sick i had no clue who to contact....well after alot of digging i found out that you need to contact your county extension agent and they will pretty much direct you from there. anyone ever...

so i just talked to someone at uga.....they say it sounds like infectious coricoriza....i know thats the wrong spelling....and even if they birds get over it, they will always be carriers and infect other birds. well THAT JUST SUCKS. i wanted to sell eggs, chicks, birds....they said to euthanize...
thank you so much for that post on how to box one up. i am in ga and i have talked to the bulldawgs so i am going to send them a blood sample. i will also send them the bird that will likely die in a few days with the swollen eyes. kinda wish i could kill it and freeze it so it doesnt infect any...
i dont know where to take them. No vet in my town can tell me anything. seriously....not ONE!! i dont know how to "send" a sick chicken somewhere....and i certainly cant find out which antibiotic to use as i dont know the illness :(
since my last post about the coughing and congestion, i now have my second chicken that has both eyes swollen shut and watery...and puss...i have taken all of my birds off of antibiotics because i didnt know it messed up the eggs. i gave one of my chickens to someone and it got their chicken...
War chicken I've been reading your posts as well....mine also have the runny almost reddish fecal matter...they r all active and don't act sick...but have runny congested noses.... I have some poultry remedy too...but don't wanna have to give it go them orally.. I can't get close to em
also i forgot to mention....the chickens' stool is light brown/almost reddish and runny. there does seem to be some solidity coming back to it however. i just wanted to throw that in.
