    Is anyone having trouble with the elbow feeder removing feathers around the chickens necks? I have and it may be because I used a (I think) 3" round PVC elbow. May need to change to a 4" elbow.

    Thanks for posting the pictures. Looks like yours isn't angled as much as mine. You can see straight in and see the seeds. Mine isn't that easy to see, but the chickens can reach them.

    Thanks! I got it done and it working great. When I went to the store, the clerk there showed me a 90 degree elbow without the lip on one end. I still have to cut it off though and seems to be working fine. The girls stuck their heads in the hole and was eating it. I think this will be a keeper.

    Hi...love the feeder idea, but have a question. The pipe that you insert into the bucket, I'm assuming it is curving downward and shouldn't be no more than 3/4" from the bottom. Is this correct? I read something about the "Y" and food maybe getting stale in the feeder. What is the "Y"...
