ok so at 4 weeks old they started to show more signs of colour and size. Their characteristics are extremely different chicken#2 is a lot more quiet and is the only one that our 2 older RIR hens like for some reason they peck the other 2 which I think are roos, whereas with chick#2 they let it...
Ok so only 4 days older than the previous photos and they've changed heaps already! This black chick in the photo is different to the other 2 it's very skiddish and soft whereas the other 2 seem confident and more male dominant. The black ones are definitley Australorp.
Yeh it's right at the tail my grandma said the other day that she thought if they had it its a male generally it's an external bump all 3 have it but it could just be the tail bump
My 2 black australorps look exactly the same mine are 3 weeks today. How old are they here? I'm thinking mine are all males but they could be big as females??
Chick 1 Larger black one, I know it's a male but breed?
Chick 2 smaller black I'm not 100% on gender it's very timid and sketchy compared to other two
Chick 3 white one hoping its a hen as we like it's coloring and its the friendliest out of the 3
thanks for the advice yeh the smaller black chick I think might be a hen coz the comb hasn't grown let alone to the size of the other black one. Like I posted in the comment^^^^^^^ their temperaments are really showing through
Thanks heaps for that! Their temperament was starting to show last week. The large black one stands right up and bullies the other 2. The other black chick is real sketched out its sort of funny and the white is the friendliest of the lot but when I let them out for a run its the white one that...
We would be gutted if all 3 were roosters. The large black one is hands down a male but the other 2 I thought maybe their breed was why they are so big.
