    I'm new to chickens and I'm really worried :(

    She seems to be doing just fine now... We will be keeping an eye on her. I don't know the temperament of the Cochin breed. Are they dramatic in stressful situations?

    I would say that the Cochin is about 9-10 weeks old... when I got the others they were all about 5-6 weeks old. I am judging by the size of the littler ones that shes only a few weeks older. They are not on any medicated feed, just the standard grower starter food for the chicks from Coastal...

    2 year old chickens not laying~ Help~

    I've heard submerging them in ice water shocks them in to laying again. It sort of resets their systems... and I have also heard of putting a faux egg in the nesting boxes. It makes them think they need keep it warm which then helps them start laying again.. Depending on the time of year like...
