Sorry I haven't been on here in a while and the email just came 2 days ago. We did finish it back in sept or oct of last year. I don't know how to transfer pics from 1 thread to another. I posted them on thread my pallet chicken coop...
Mostly. We took 4x4 s and framed out the walls around the pallets for extra support. And where we put windows and door. Roof was framed out in 2x4 s And slats of 2x4 running in between the frame. We screwed down the tin roofing all thur the 2x4 s. Lol mine isn't either.
In Texas our weather changes so quickly you never know what your winter will bring. We cover our windows in coop with outdoor table cloth fabric and use self stick Velcro to be able to put up and take off quickly and is water proof. The vents at very top stay open. Also have a heat lamp in coop...
We used other broke up pallet pieces and used jigsaw on them and fit them in. We had to pre drill and put pieces in. Then came back with the big box of joint compound mix and slathered it on
Thank you. Yes we did and at bottom and door to. We ran out of hardware cloth at top of roof and used poultry wire for now. But we are going to buy more hardware cloth and layer it over where we had to use poultry wire as temporary fix
That's cool. It took us a lot if calls and time finding places willing to give up pallets around here were we live. Some wouldn't even part with them if you offered to pay them
They said they only tag to let them know which ones are pullets. They said when there shipped as assorted they don't keep exact records of which breed was included. All kinds can be included even sometimes the rare ones can be to if not enough orders have came in for them
I got my little ones from atwoods which they get them from ideal poultry. I know all my other breeds but can't figure this one out. I know it's probably to early to tell still but I figured maybe could get a few ideals of what it could be
