The definitely have wings, and do look a lot like fruit flies. Thanks so much for your replies! It's been crazy weather down here in Florida, cold one day hot the next and rainy. So maybe it just needs an extra cleaning- waldocoop

Bugs! Help!
Anyone have any idea what these bugs are? I just peaked into the coop in hopes of seeing an egg and I saw black specks all over the hay & on the wood. Here's a zoomed in pic hope it's not blurry :- waldocoop

Name that breed!
We got some new hens yesterday and can't for the life of us remember all the breeds.. Any guesses? 1. This is Rita she's black with beautifully blue/green tinted feathers & grey speckled head 2. This is Lady is she a golden nugget? 3. These two little ones were labeled Rhode Island reds but...- waldocoop
